A little shout out to Brad Jones, Dave Leininger, Mark McClellan, Bob Walker and John Magnabosco for putting together an amazing Indy Tech Fest this past Saturday. There were close to 400 people who spent their Saturday to absorb as much they could about technologies such as .NET, Silverlight, AJAX, SQL Server, SharePoint, and VSTS. The organizers did an incredible job. It’s impressive display of professionalism, hard work and pure passion to pull off one of the best events of the year.

We had an amazing collection of speakers including Tim Landgrave, Chad Campbell, Craig Utley, Bill Steele, Chris Bennet, Larry Clarkin, Stephen Fulcher, Mark Strawmyer, Arie Jones, Brad McGehee, Robert Bogue, Paul Hacker, Tom Pizatto, Bret Updegraff and Trent Mera. Not to mention motivational speaker Buck Foley who lent his take (amuzingly so, I might add) to the day’s agenda during the keynote (video to come soon). Josh Holmes, my evangelism co-hort from Detroit and co-host of Code to Live, made it to Indy in the nick of time to close out the days festivities.

I really enjoyed the Indy TechFest. I just wish I could’ve spent more time with the great people that we’re there. An amazing day to say the least. If you didn’t get a chance to make it out, don’t worry, as I know Indy TechFest 2 is already in the works. You can count me in!
